Our parents have deep roots in the Magic Valley. This land, the soil, and this way of life shaped how we were raised.

Our mom grew up on a farm here, where healthy soil wasn't a trend. It was just how things are done. Composting, gardening, and caring for the land were part of everyday life. Soil and water mattered because everything good starts there.

That mindset stuck.

As we grew up, our dad took those farm-raised values to the front yard. He wasn't interested in the quick-fix, chemical-heavy "green" that fades the moment the sun gets hot. He wanted a lawn that had soul - healthy, resilient, and meant to be used.

So he started experimenting with compost top dressing the hard way…by hand. It was a lot of trial, a little error, and a whole lot of muscle and mess. No shortcuts or quick fixes. Just doing things the right way.

And it worked!

The grass stayed greener, used less water, and held up through hot Magic Valley summers when other lawns struggled. Dry spots faded. The lawn bounced back faster and stayed consistent.

With five boys growing up in that yard, we got to live it with barefoot running, long summer days, and a lawn that could actually keep up with real life! When people started asking how our grass stayed so healthy, the answer was always the same:

It starts with the soil.

Now, as the boys who grew up on that lawn, we're carrying that approach forward.
